Ultra violet water purification systems (UV) one of the four main options we have, to purify water at home. The other three distillers, reverse osmosis systems, carbon / ceramic filters. There are some major differences between UV and the other three types of system, however. You must know and understand these differences to determine whether UV technology is right for you.

Distillers, reverse osmosis systems, and carbon / ceramic filters to remove all thedangerous impurities from your water. Ultra violet water purification systems are not. All UV can really do is live organisms to kill it by destroying their DNA. UV makes it very efficient, too! The big difference between him and the other methods of water purification that UV does not charge pollutants from the water. After irradiation with UV-micro-organisms, which has killed it in your water, it leaves them in the water. Unless the UV system is coupled with someother filter cakes, such as carbon / ceramic.

So, UV is great for the killing of live contaminants, it is not just going to get something on the disposal of their remains to be done. That may be fine in itself, but there is the related question, what other non-living in your order, you drink water you do not want and that the UV is not removed.

I do not know if you are on public water or well water, but the dangers to which you are similar. It is entirely possible that everything fromPesticides on prescription drugs in your water. Ultra violet water purification systems can do nothing to remove these impurities. In my view this is a major drawback of UV.

But there is a solution!

Distillers, reverse osmosis systems, and carbon / ceramic filters of the type are all very well to the elimination of non-living contaminants, and they are also good at removing bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms. In other words, these three systems in a position with a much broaderSpectrum of contaminants than UV.

Distillers are more expensive than UV, and they should not be used on chlorinated water. Reverse osmosis systems are not nearly as expensive as the burner, but demineralizes reverse osmosis water they remove the trace elements that are so important to our health resources.

Perhaps my favorite system, both for reasons of efficiency and money perspective, carbon and ceramic filters. Usually these are used in two stage filter, you can cleanOf water and a distillery can. These filters are easy to maintain. All you need is a cartridge change now and again.

Unless you are absolutely sure your water is free from non-living contaminants, ultraviolet water purification systems may not be the best for you. do any of these three different types of systems likely could a superior job.
