Keurig b40 is the machine with the least features and functions, in fact it is so basic that one can only brew coffee from this machine.

So, if you are shopping for a brewer under the same brand name, naturally you would go for one that has the most features and is the most comprehensive, isn't that so?

Well, if that is the case, then the b40 would definitely suffer a drop in sales and might even be discontinued due to the low market share. But, that is not the case. We do not know the hard numbers on the units sold for this model, but from the way websites and forum is discussing about it, it is far from being unpopular.

When people think about keurig, they would immediately link it to this model. One can even say that this is the flagship product for this brand. Personally, I do not think the other models are as popular as this. What is the reason for this popularity?

The fact is, if you would to get the other models, you would have many added advantages and features. But, the basic feature of a good quality brew that can be done easily is already available in the b40 model, so for those that like good coffee that can be done easily, this model would suffice.

Of course, the most important point is this model is lower in selling price by at least 20% when compared to the other models. It is always being featured as being on promotional pricing and giving consumer a very strong call to action to purchase it.

Added it all up and you would have a brewer that is lower pricing that other machines under the same brand name, has the similar ability to brew a variety of beverages easily and is also very easy to maintain. So, given all these reasons would you bother to go for other models?

There you have it, my take on the popularity of this keurig b40 and I believe moving forward it would remains to still be enjoying this level of popularity.
